Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Operations Traineeship

About the role Amazon Web Services is offering a six‑month Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Operations Traineeship in Dubai for UAE nationals. The programme provides hands‑on experience in data‑center infrastructure and prepares participants for a full‑time Engineering Operations Technician position. Key responsibilities Assist in the operation, monitoring and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems in AWS data centres. Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting of diesel generators, UPS, switchgear, pumps, cooling towers, air‑handling units and chillers. Support root‑cause analysis investigations and corrective actions. Participate in on‑call rotations, shift work and weekend duties as required. Follow safety, security and environmental procedures at all times. Required profile UAE national holding a family book. Full‑time availability for a 6‑month programme (40 h/week). Interest in data‑centre engineering and willingness to work in shifts. Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical concepts; no prior professional experience required.
