Duties

  • Collaborate with teachers to implement Afterschool plans and classroom activities that cater to student needs.
  • Assist with meeting students at the bus stop and walking them to Beamish.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students.
  • Support students in developing essential skills such as communication, math, and early childhood education fundamentals.
  • Assist with classroom management, including organizing materials and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Support students’ social-emotional development by fostering respectful interactions and encouraging active participation.

Qualifications

  • Prior classroom experience or experience working with children in educational settings.
  • Fu and positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of teaching strategies and familiarity with special education practices.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in early childhood education is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, students, and parents.
  • Ability to assist with math instruction and support foundational learning activities.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for working with children and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.
