Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) Technical Architect

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) Technical Architect based in Canada.

In this role, you will lead the end-to-end technical delivery of complex Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) and Power Platform solutions for enterprise clients worldwide. Operating in a delivery-first, billable consulting position, you will remain deep in hands-on platform architecture, designing Dataverse-first environments, custom C# plugins, and modern Power Automate flows. Working in a fully remote, highly collaborative environment, you will bridge strategic design with hands-on development while mitigating technical risks across the entire delivery lifecycle.

You will also mentor developers, lead interactive architecture workshops with key stakeholders, and collaborate with Microsoft FastTrack teams to validate high-impact solutions. Accountabilities:

  • End-to-End Technical Delivery: Own full-lifecycle technical delivery from initial architectural design through deployment, go-live, and post-implementation support.
  • Architecture & Data Modeling: Design Dataverse-first architectures, defining robust data models, security frameworks, and multi-environment strategies tailored to client requirements.
  • Hands-On Customization & Build: Build complex C# plugins, custom integrations, Power Automate flows, model-driven apps, and Power Pages solutions to solve complex business challenges.
  • Client Engagement & Scoping: Facilitate architecture and design workshops, lead proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives, and assist sales teams with technical scoping and client presentations.
  • Technical Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and resolve delivery blockers, architectural risks, and performance bottlenecks to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Mentorship & Ecosystem Leadership: Mentor technical consultants through hands-on coaching and code reviews, while contributing to the broader Microsoft ecosystem via blogs, webinars, and conferences.

Requirements
  • Technical Experience: 5+ years of experience operating as a Dynamics 365 CE Technical Architect within billable consulting or enterprise delivery environments.
  • Platform Mastery: Deep architectural expertise in Dynamics 365 (Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Customer Insights) and the Microsoft Power Platform (Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages).
  • Development Skills: Strong proficiency in C# and JavaScript development for custom plugin creation, web resources, and complex API integrations.
  • ALM & Methodologies: Practical experience implementing Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) best practices within Power Platform environments.
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong troubleshooting skills, active listening, and clear communication required to lead architecture workshops and mentor technical teams.
  • Education & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; Microsoft certifications such as Power Platform Solution Architect Expert are highly advantageous.
  • Bonus Qualifications: Prior experience with Microsoft systems integrators, leading offshore/onshore team models, CRM migrations (on-premises to online), or manufacturing client domain knowledge.
