Roles and responsibilities:

Direct supervisor of a team of directors

Hiring and staffing :

  • Approving the hiring of positions within the farming department.
  • Making sure all cities are staffed and fully equipped to run our operations in time for the growing season.
  • Predictions for staffing, equipment purchasing and intercity dispatch of goods.
  • Purchasing approval authority for orders : expenses over $100
  • supervising training and onboarding of chief farmers & Urban farming coordinators
  • Supervision of quality control in all cities
  • Human Resource manager in the farming department of all cities

Human Resources:

  • Support to employee needs and benefits for all employee's throughout the company.
  • Supporting directors of farming and client experience with training and onboarding.
  • Organizing pan-company employee events

Procurement & expansion :

  • Supervisory role in the procurement & expansion department
  • supervisory role in the implementation & standardization of suppliers relationships and supply chains logistics.

Quality Control:

  • Safety and quality inspections throughout all the cities
  • Problem-solving & analysis
  • Traveling to various cities across North America to assure standardization of production & company culture, vision and values.

Technology:

  • Manages technological tools like giving permissions and access to company's Google Drive and, work emails creation & whole company infrastructure throughout all cities

Admin:

  • Working directly with the admin team, for the approval & management of the payroll
  • Supervising and approving the creation of employee contracts
  • Benefit plan admin

Infrastructure & safety:

  • Making sure infrastructure is safe & secure
  • Making sure the company has the infrastructure needed to operate in every one of its cities.
  • Main point of contact for any infrastructure & safety matter and concern in the company throughout all cities
  • Managing MicroHabitat insurance policies alongside Administrative manager
  • Filling insurance claims
