About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly reliable and efficient Dedicated Local Courier to join their expanding logistics team in Mississauga, Ontario . This is a critical role focused on ensuring timely and secure delivery of a diverse range of packages and documents across the Greater Toronto Area. The ideal candidate will possess an impeccable driving record, a strong commitment to customer service, and the ability to manage a dynamic schedule. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a company-provided vehicle for local deliveries and pick-ups in and around the Mississauga, Ontario region. Plan and optimize daily delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize transit times. Ensure all packages are handled with care, loaded securely, and delivered to the correct recipients. Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records of all shipments using provided technology. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any client inquiries or concerns professionally. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any maintenance needs promptly. Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety protocols. Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members regarding delivery status and potential delays. Requirements Valid Ontario Driver's License with a clean driving record (abstract required). Minimum of 2 years of professional driving experience, preferably in a courier or delivery role. Excellent knowledge of the Mississauga, Ontario and surrounding areas' road networks. Strong navigational skills and ability to use GPS devices and mapping applications effectively. Physical ability to lift and carry packages, sometimes weighing up to 50 lbs. Demonstrated commitment to punctuality and reliability. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must possess a smartphone capable of running delivery tracking applications. Benefits
