Data Architect - Data & Analysis (MS Fabric)

The Data Architect (Data & Analytics) will architect and deliver comprehensive data solutions using Microsoft Fabric. You will work closely with clients to understand their business needs, translate them into technical requirements, and design scalable, efficient data architectures. Your expertise in Microsoft Fabric will be instrumental in enabling clients to optimize their data integration, analytics, and automation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design and Architecture: Design end-to-end data and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric, ensuring alignment with client business goals and technical requirements.
  • Technical Leadership: Lead the technical delivery of data projects, guiding development teams in implementing solutions based on the designed architecture.
  • Client Consultation: Engage with clients to gather requirements, provide expert advice, and recommend best practices for leveraging Microsoft Fabric in their data strategy.
  • Data Integration: Architect solutions that integrate data from various sources into Microsoft Fabric, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accessibility.
  • Advanced Analytics: Design and implement advanced analytics solutions, including data warehousing, real-time analytics, and machine learning, using Microsoft Fabric and related Microsoft technologies.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize data architectures for performance, scalability, and reliability, leveraging Microsoft Fabric’s capabilities.
  • Documentation: Create detailed architectural documentation, including technical specifications, data flow diagrams, and implementation guides.
  • Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide training and mentorship to develop teams and clients, ensuring successful adoption and utilization of Microsoft Fabric.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest advancements in Microsoft Fabric and related technologies, continuously enhancing your expertise and the solutions you deliver.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Technical Expertise: Extensive experience with Microsoft Fabric, including data integration, automation, analytics, and related Microsoft technologies (e.g., Power BI, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory).
  • Architecture and Design: Proven experience designing scalable and efficient data architectures, with a strong understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Project Leadership: Experience leading technical teams and managing the delivery of complex data projects from conception to completion.
  • Client Engagement: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated to interact with clients at all levels and provide strategic insights.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration, performance, and scalability.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry best practices in data governance, security, and compliance, particularly in cloud-based data solutions.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or similar roles, with at least 2 years specializing in Microsoft technologies.
  • Experience in a client-facing or consulting role, delivering technical solutions to enterprise clients.
  • Relevant certifications in Microsoft technologies (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are highly desirable.
