Cyber and Privacy - Summer Intern
About the role
As a Summer Intern in the Cyber and Privacy practice, you will join a team of consultants helping clients protect their data and manage cyber threats. This role provides hands-on experience in security operations, strategy, and client service. You will work alongside experienced professionals to solve complex business issues, from initial strategy to final execution.
What you'll do
- Learn cybersecurity concepts including detection, response, and attack patterns.
- Assist with security monitoring, incident investigation, and client care.
- Perform threat management and threat modeling, including identifying threat vectors.
- Ensure compliance with client agreements and contribute to process improvements.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders.
- Manage the administration and maintenance of security devices.
What you'll need
- Enrollment in the third year of a post-secondary program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Applied Mathematics, or Computer Engineering.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C, C++, or Python.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
- Willingness to travel to cities across Canada when required.
