Copywriter (Email & Retention Marketing)

About the Role

We're looking for a talented Email Copywriter to join our retention marketing agency, specializing in Klaviyo email marketing for DTC eCommerce brands.

This isn't a general content writing role. You'll be responsible for writing high-performing copy that directly impacts revenue—from email campaigns and automated flows to landing pages and pop-ups. You'll work with multiple brands simultaneously, adapting to different voices while maintaining a relentless focus on performance, clarity, and customer engagement.

We're looking for someone who understands both great writing and great marketing—someone who can turn customer insights into copy that gets opens, clicks, and conversions.

What You'll Do

  • Write compelling copy for email campaigns, automated flows, landing pages, and pop-ups for multiple DTC eCommerce brands.
  • Develop high-converting subject lines, preview text, CTAs, and email body copy that aligns with each client's brand voice.
  • Research customer psychology, voice of customer (VOC), and product positioning to create persuasive messaging.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and account managers to launch polished campaigns.
  • Manage copy across multiple clients while consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Self-edit your work to ensure accuracy, quality, and conversion before handoff.
  • Use AI tools strategically to improve efficiency without sacrificing originality or quality.
  • Participate in daily standups and collaborate in a fully remote environment.
What We're Looking For

Required

  • English speaker with exceptional written communication skills.
  • 3+ years of professional copywriting experience with a strong portfolio.
  • Proven experience writing email marketing copy for DTC/eCommerce brands, including campaigns and automated flows.
  • Experience writing landing pages, pop-ups, and other conversion-focused marketing assets.
  • Strong understanding of direct-response copywriting, customer psychology, and conversion principles.
  • Experience working with Klaviyo or another leading email marketing platform.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to different brand voices and industries.
  • Comfortable managing multiple clients simultaneously in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Available to work 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST.
Nice to Have
  • Previous experience at an email marketing or retention agency.
  • Familiarity with ClickUp, Slack, and Google Workspace.
  • Experience using AI writing tools as part of your workflow.
