Controller - Airside Stands & Data The team works in real time to make sure the right people are in the right place – airside and landside – to meet demand. As our airports are the world’s busiest, it’s fast-paced and a real challenge. They see that the operational plan is followed, and issues are dealt with across terminals, regular operations, incidents and crisis handling. The operation has to be industry-leading, and it always is.
What you’ll deliver
- You’ll monitor every arriving, departing and repositioning aircraft and make tactical changes only when required to maintain the integrity of the daily operation.
- You’ll suggest changes to enhance customer service through developing a real understanding of the operational business objectives and targets.
- You’ll respond to any incident or emergency by continuing with stand allocation and maintain control and decision with the Senior Controller.
- You’ll provide and deliver the slot coordination and approval function to maximize capacity and opportunity for airport revenue, whilst considering immediate capacity constraints
- You’ll ensure all operational activity is recorded accurately and ensure all incidents, non-compliant or non-standard operation is reported accurately as per regulatory requirements.
- You should hold a higher Diploma in Aviation engineering or Management related and acquire relevant experience of 3 - 5 years.
- You should have technical knowledge of airport systems related to aircraft parking stands and knowledge of resources like gate rooms, check-in desks and baggage belts.
- You should have knowledge of Airside and ATC systems and Airport Conditions of Use.
- You should be knowledgeable of Slot Allocation, data management and consolidation.
