Contract Therapist – Individual, Family, and Couple Therapy Bird’s Eye Wellness – Calgary, AB

About Us: Bird’s Eye Wellness is a growing mental health practice dedicated to anti-oppressive practice and social justice. We deliver effective therapy, to individuals, couples and families virtually across Alberta and in person in NW Calgary. We are seeking motivated therapists to join us in building a supportive environment where therapists collaborate, maintain work-life balance, and thrive in their careers.

The Role:We are looking for a part-time contract therapist to join our team, with the opportunity to grow to a full-time caseload. We are accepting applications from therapists skilled in providing individual, couple and/or family therapy. We also welcome applicants who specialize in psychologist assessment and testing.

We welcome applications from:

  • Registered Social Workers (RSW, Masters in Clinical Social Work) with Restricted Psychosocial Interventions Registration, or Registered Clinical Social Workers (RCSW).
  • Provisional Psychologists (must have external supervision arranged)
  • Registered Psychologists
What We’re Looking For:
  • An approach to mental health counselling that values diversity, social justice, and collaboration
  • Registration with your regulatory college in Alberta
  • Social workers must hold Restricted Psychosocial Interventions Registration
  • Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team
  • Able to work remotely as well as in person
  • Willingness to engage in networking/self-marketing to grow your practice
  • Carry professional liability insurance
  • Provisional psychologists must have a supervision arrangement with a registered psychologist
  • Clinical supervision is available for social workers through practice owner, Sam Hafeli (RCSW).
Schedule & Caseload:
  • Minimum of 10 clinical hours per week, with opportunities to grow and expand.
  • Flexible scheduling to support work-life balance
  • Office space for in person sessions located in Brentwood, NW Calgary available on Mondays, Thursdays, evenings and weekends.
  • Virtual work available with flexible schedule.
Compensation:
  • Session rates range from $220–$235
  • 60/40 split (therapist/owner) initially; after consistently working 15+ hours a week the split moves to 70/30, with potential for further adjustment over time
