Responsibilities

  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and engaging environment
  • Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
  • Administer medications accurately according to care plans and document all medication activities
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and comfortable living space
  • Support clients with mobility challenges through safe transfer techniques and assist with walking or exercise routines
  • Monitor health status, report changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members

Requirements

  • Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or home care environments preferred
  • Knowledge of patient care practices and senior care needs, including dementia and disability support
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for mobility assistance or transfers
  • Strong skills in meal preparation and medication administration following prescribed guidelines
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience
  • Ability to handle cleaning duties efficiently while maintaining hygiene standards
  • Valid certifications related to caregiving or healthcare are a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
