Cleaning Operative/Key holder (Immediate start)

We are seeking a dedicated cleaners at our lovely new school in Macclesfield SK11, You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various premises. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a safe and welcoming environment while developing valuable skills in cleaning and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Locking the building - takes 2 minutes
  • Perform cleaning duties across designated areas, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces
  • Ensure all facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Handle waste disposal responsibly and efficiently
  • Restock cleaning supplies and report any maintenance issues promptly
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure their needs are met
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment
  • Maintain organised storage of cleaning equipment and supplies

Experience

  • Previous experience in Key holding
  • Previous experience in cleaning in schools
  • Proficiency in English is necessary for effective communication with clients and team members
  • Customer service experience is beneficial, demonstrating a friendly and professional approach
  • Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating tasks and ensuring client satisfaction
  • Safeguarding

Hours are Monday - Friday 4pm - 7.30pm This school only works 38 weeks term time plus 2 weeks deep cleans thru the holidays.

Hourly rate is £13.15 per hour - All staff are paid monthly on the 5th working day
