Cashier and Customer Service

Overview

We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Cashier and Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and creating a welcoming environment for all shoppers. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have experience in retail sales and cashiering. Multilingual abilities and technical sales experience are a plus, enabling us to serve a diverse customer base effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
  • Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
  • Handle cash, credit card payments, and other payment methods with accuracy and integrity
  • Provide product information and demonstrations when applicable, including merchandising and upselling techniques
  • Maintain an organized checkout area and ensure product displays are neat and appealing
  • Offer exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly
  • Assist with inventory management, stock replenishment, and product demos as needed
  • Promote store promotions, new products, and sales to enhance the shopping experience
  • Follow company policies on cash handling, security procedures, and customer privacy

Skills

  • Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly desirable
  • Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and basic math for transaction accuracy
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
  • Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a helpful demeanor
  • Organizational skills to manage time efficiently during busy periods
