Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier to join our dynamic retail team. In this role, you will be the friendly face that greets customers, handles transactions efficiently, and ensures a smooth checkout experience. Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a professional manner.
  • Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process transactions, including cash, credit/debit cards, and digital payments.
  • Handle cash responsibly, ensuring proper change is given and transactions are correctly recorded.
  • Maintain organized merchandising at the checkout area to enhance the shopping experience.
  • Upsell products or services by identifying customer needs and offering relevant recommendations.
  • Provide product demos or explanations when necessary to help customers make informed decisions.
  • Address customer inquiries with clear communication, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when assisting remotely or over the phone.
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick and efficient checkout processes.
  • Support inventory management by assisting with stock replenishment and product placement as needed.
  • Follow organizational policies for cash handling, security procedures, and customer privacy.

Skills

  • Multilingual abilities are highly valued to serve a diverse customer base effectively.
  • Previous experience in restaurant sales or cashiering roles is preferred; technical sales experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in English; bilingual skills enhance customer interactions.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills for accurate transactions.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to perform product merchandising and assist with store organization.
