Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties

  • Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to promote independence and comfort
  • Support medical staff with tasks including medication administration, patient monitoring, and basic nursing procedures
  • Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook to document patient information and care activities
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure clear understanding of care plans and needs
  • Operate computer systems efficiently to update patient records and manage administrative tasks
  • Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient concerns with empathy and professionalism

Requirements

  • Proven experience in acute care settings or nursing assistance is highly desirable
  • Bilingual abilities in English and French are preferred to serve diverse patient populations effectively
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient care procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general computer operation is essential
  • Exceptional communication skills to interact clearly with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism
  • Valid certifications related to healthcare or caregiving are advantageous but not mandatory
