Cardiovascular Renal Account Specialist - Vancouver / Richmond / Burnaby
About the position
The Account Specialist (AS), CVR is responsible for delivering value to customers and is accountable for driving sales growth based on a sound business plan and excellent execution. In addition, the AS will develop and implement customer-focused initiatives using an account planning approach to build Bayer’s leadership across their portfolio of brands. This will be achieved through a strong entrepreneurial focus in alignment with the strategic direction of the individual brands. The individual is responsible for the promotion of the key Cardiovascular/Renal assets within their region. Bayer is committed to a flexible hybrid working environment. This is a permanent position covering Vancouver / North Vancouver/ Richmond/ Burnaby territories of B.C.
Responsibilities
- Drive growth by increasing HCP (specialists and generalists) engagement in optimizing patient care.
- Seek to understand and then address customer issues to add value and drive them up the adoption ladder.
- Analyze business environment to develop, then execute territory and account specific business plans.
- Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders in the territory (GPs, NPs, Specialists, and other HCPs) leveraging an omnichannel approach tailored to customer interests and preferences.
- Map stakeholders within communities to identify decision makers and influencers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Build strategic territory specific account plans, including levels of investment for maximal impact, incorporating input from sales trends and stakeholder needs.
- Create value with customers, partner with stakeholders to implement solutions that improve patient outcomes.
- Conduct learning events specific to the referral audience, to optimize patient care and grow awareness of our assets in evolving treatment guidelines.
- Collaborate & connect within Bayer, by providing input on field insights and support cross-functional collaboration.
- Adhere to all requirements and Code of Conduct as directed by Innovative Medicines Canada and Bayer policy guidelines.

Requirements
- University degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years pharmaceutical sales experience
- Strong key account management, project management, and critical thinking skills
- Strong business acumen
- Able to assess market, draw insights and make decisions accordingly, leveraging an entrepreneurial mindset
- Excellent knowledge of the local healthcare systems, including provincial remuneration
- Superior competencies in relationship building, networking, problem solving, impact and influence across stakeholders
- Positive and winning attitude; an active team player in a cross-functional team, with excellent collaboration and communication, demonstrating a strong learning agility
- Continually seeks feedback from peers to improve business outcomes and able to set and deliver against 90-day and long-term goals to achieve desired impact/outcome
- High level of business integrity and ethics
- Must be willing to travel throughout assigned territory and other areas as required and as business need evolves
- Must be adept and willing to learn new therapy areas and products as business need evolves.
- A valid driver’s license
