Bookkeeper Assistant

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper Assistant to oversee financial and administrative operations within our company. This role is vital in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and supporting overall office efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience with various accounting software and possess strong analytical skills to ensure smooth financial processes and compliance.

Duties

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
  • Reconcile bank statements and perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and account analysis for management review
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero to maintain accurate financial records
  • Process payroll accurately and timely using appropriate payroll systems
  • Maintain organized financial documentation and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Assist in budgeting processes and monitor expenses against budgets
  • Support administrative functions including scheduling, correspondence, and record keeping
  • Perform regular audits of financial data to identify discrepancies or errors
Skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation
