<p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Backend Developer – TypeScript (Node.js/Express) </p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Canada | <strong>Experience:</strong> 8+ Years | <strong>Type:</strong> Full-time </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Role Summary</strong> </p><p>We are looking for a hands-on <strong>Backend TypeScript Developer</strong> to build and scale microservices-based platforms on Node.js. You’ll work on high-throughput APIs, event-driven workflows, and scalable systems (B2B/B2B2C), primarily on AWS with Postgres as the data store. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong> </p><ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain backend services using <strong>TypeScript</strong> and <strong>Node.js/ExpressJS</strong>. </li><li>Build <strong>microservices</strong> and event-driven components using <strong>event queues</strong>. </li><li>Develop and optimize <strong>PostgreSQL</strong> schema, queries, and performance. </li><li>Implement scalable APIs, integrations, and asynchronous processing patterns. </li><li>Deploy and operate services on <strong>AWS</strong> (monitoring, troubleshooting, and basic DevOps collaboration). </li><li>Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and documentation. </li><li>Collaborate with product, QA, and frontend teams to deliver end-to-end features. </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Skills / Experience</strong> </p><ul><li>Strong backend development experience with <strong>TypeScript</strong> </li><li><strong>Node.js / ExpressJS</strong> API development </li><li><strong>PostgreSQL</strong> (data modeling, indexing, query optimization) </li><li>Experience with <strong>event queues</strong> (e.g., SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.) </li><li>Microservices architecture and distributed system basics </li><li>Exposure to <strong>AWS</strong> (core services, deployments, troubleshooting) </li><li>Experience building scalable products in <strong>B2B / B2B2C</strong> environments </li><li>Strong hands-on development and debugging skills </li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Nice to Have</strong> </p><ul><li>Frontend experience with <strong>Next.js / React.js</strong> </li><li>Familiarity with observability tools (logs/metrics/tracing) and performance tuning </li></ul><p> </p><p> </p>
