Audiologist (Licensed)

Costco's hearing centre in Scarborough, Ontario is looking for a Licensed Dispensing Audiologist at the 1411 Warden Avenue location. This is a clinical role focused on assessing hearing, recommending and dispensing hearing instruments, and delivering end-to-end member hearing care.

Daily Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • All tasks and procedures related to assessment of hearing for the purpose of dispensing hearing aids, including history taking, air and bone conduction thresholds, and speech testing
  • All tasks and procedures related to the dispensing of hearing aids, including hearing aid evaluations, recommendations, fitting, verification, validation, impression taking, shell repair, and modification
  • Adhere to all infection control, privacy, and confidentiality standards
  • Maintain appropriate and complete records and documentation
  • Remain knowledgeable about all products and services related to the hearing centre
  • Committed to providing the highest level of member service
  • Work collaboratively with support personnel to ensure appropriate allocation of work tasks
  • Assist in other areas of the warehouse as necessary (non-essential)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Master's Degree in Audiology with all qualifications to dispense hearing aids in Ontario
  • Registered (or eligible for registration) with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
  • Clinical experience preferred
  • Attention to detail and technical aptitude
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and counselling member service skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Position requires a fully qualified Dispensing Audiologist
