Compensation: $110,000 - $165,000 Our client, a growing and highly regarded family law practice in Toronto, is seeking an Associate Family Lawyer to join its team. This opportunity is ideal for a lawyer who is looking to deepen their family law expertise while working on meaningful and often life-changing matters for clients. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage their own files, appear before the courts, participate in mediations and negotiations, and work alongside experienced practitioners who value professional growth, collaboration, and strong advocacy.

Manage a broad range of family law matters involving parenting issues, child support, spousal support, property division, domestic contracts, and divorce proceedings.
Conduct client consultations and provide strategic legal advice tailored to each client's circumstances and objectives.
Draft pleadings, affidavits, conference briefs, motion materials, separation agreements, minutes of settlement, and other family law documents.
Attend mediations, case conferences, settlement conferences, motions, and court appearances.
Analyze financial disclosure and assist clients with complex property and support issues.
Negotiate resolutions and settlement agreements while advancing clients' interests effectively and professionally.
Develop litigation strategies and prepare matters for hearings and trial when required.
Collaborate with law clerks, legal assistants, financial experts, and other professionals involved in family law matters.
Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure they remain informed and supported throughout the legal process. Qualifications
Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
2-5 years of dedicated Family Law experience.
Strong working knowledge of the Family Law Act, Divorce Act, Family Law Rules, and related legislation.
Experience managing family law files with increasing independence.
Excellent drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills.
Strong understanding of financial disclosure, support calculations, and property-related issues.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and develop practical solutions in complex situations.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
