<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong><strong>Bring your curiosity and determination to make a positive impact on the future of transport, and we’ll help you go all the way.<br><br></strong>Join our team of globally connected specialists to help solve complex transport challenges and experience groundbreaking projects from idea to delivery, and beyond.<br><br>Our Construction Phase Services group located in our <strong>Markham, Whitby, Toronto, and Mississauga</strong> Offices is looking for an <strong>Assistant Contract Administrator</strong> to work as part of a contract administration team on Highway / Road / Bridge construction projects in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).<br><br><strong>In an ever-changing world, it requires creativity and innovation to stay ahead. </strong>We’re seeking the curious, those who are stimulated by fresh thinking and a desire to shape our communities in new, positive ways.<br><br>As part of a truly global team, working on complex and rewarding projects, you'll be at the forefront of driving change.<br><br><strong>See what the power of commitment can do for you.<br><br></strong><strong>Your Responsibilities will include: <br><br></strong><ul><li>Responsible for Contract Administration of civil provincial and municipal infrastructure projects</li><li>Liaise with the Project Managers, designers, field inspectors, contractors and clients on a daily basis.</li><li>Assisting the Contract Administrator in the coordination of field duties and tasks by Quality Assurance Inspectors, specialists, and subconsultant staff;</li><li>Preparing contract documentation including agendas, minutes, Instruction Notices, Change Orders, etc., for review and dissemination to client, contractor and third-party representatives;</li><li>Working nights, weekends, extended shifts;</li><li>Working overtime hours as necessary. Work is seasonal in nature and will likely involve greater hours of work in summer than in winter months; and</li><li>Liaise with Clients for future Construction work.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Skills, Competencies & Qualifications:<br><br></strong><ul><li>OACETT ‘rcca’ designation, or Professional Engineers Ontario designation as a P.Eng.</li><li>Minimum 5 years’ experience in Civil Engineering Infrastructure construction, with a substantial focus on Highway and Bridge construction. </li><li>Minimum 1 projects’ experience as an Assistant Contract Administrator on MTO, Regional or Municipal contracts with construction value greater than $5-million.</li><li>Proven aptitude for estimating construction schedule, quantities and costs.</li><li>Experience with progress payments, change orders, leading site meetings, preparation of minutes, and providing guidance to field staff in relation to contracts.</li><li>Excellent organizational and prioritization skills are a must.</li><li>Strong communication skills, both oral and written.</li><li>Proficient with MS Word and Excel. </li><li>Ability to establish effective working relationships with colleagues, associates, and clients.</li><li>Ability to effectively multi-task and work in fast paced, high change environment.</li><li>Good initiative and attention to detail.</li><li>Strong skills in conflict resolution.<br><br></li></ul>The salary range for this position is $<strong>91,896 – $137,844 </strong> . The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for GHD locations in its major city centres. Ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At GHD, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location.
