Apprentice Bricklayer

<p><strong>Wage:</strong> $44.32 per hour (full-time – 40 hrs per week)</p> <p><strong>Location of Work:</strong><br /> Various locations across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Province of Ontario</p> <p><strong>Job Description:</strong><br />  Assisting senior bricklayers with preparing and laying bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles and other masonry units<br />  Laying and cutting bricks, stone, concrete blocks<br />  Construct and install prefabricated masonry units and other decorative installations<br />  Repair walls, partitions, paved surfaces, chimneys, etc.<br />  Remove and replace existing masonry work for alterations or restorations<br />  Assisting with waterproof masonry<br />  Handling wheelbarrows to transport materials<br />  Use hand and power tools function to cut/trim masonry units to required size<br />  Use trowels to spread mortar and use measuring and layout tools like plumb line and levels to ensure proper alignment of structures being worked on.</p> <p>Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:<br /> Physically demanding; Handling heavy loads; Standing for extended periods; Bending, crouching, kneeling, etc.</p> <p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong><br /> • Minimum 1 year of experience as a bricklayer helper/apprentice<br /> • Understanding the properties of brick, concrete block, stone, and mortar types.<br /> • Critical Thinking (problem-solving, decision-making),<br /> • Collaboration (teamwork, empathy),<br /> • Able to navigate complex work environments and drive positive outcomes<br /> • Ability to work at heights<br /> • Attention to detail<br /> • Ability to work with precision and under pressure<br /> • Be mindful and follow health and safety rules.</p> <p><strong>How to Apply:</strong><br /> Send resume by e-mail to: <strong>gil@precisionmasonry.ca</strong></p> <p><strong>Company:</strong><br /> Precision General Construction Inc.<br /> 450 Gladstone Ave, Toronto, ON M6H 3H9</p> <p> </p>
