About Us

HireHawk connects skilled professionals worldwide with remote opportunities at U.S. and Canadian companies. We believe great candidates deserve meaningful work, wherever they live. For this opportunity, we’re partnering with a client that manages approximately 25 Amazon SKUs and is bringing channel management in-house as it prepares to expand its assortment.

About the Role

This is an end-to-end Amazon leadership role, not a PPC-only position: you’ll connect marketplace performance, advertising, operations, and reporting to profitable growth. You’ll initially work alongside the existing agency, independently evaluate performance, and lead a gradual handover with clear knowledge transfer. Expect to remain hands-on and operate independently during the initial phase, without immediate supporting hires.

Responsibilities

  • Own Amazon channel performance and profitability, translating commercial objectives into prioritized SKU-level action plans.
  • Lead a controlled agency-to-in-house transition by auditing current performance, identifying improvement opportunities, documenting processes, and ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
  • Set PPC strategy and budgets, evaluate TACoS, ACoS, and campaign efficiency, and coordinate execution with the agency during the transition and a dedicated PPC Specialist as support becomes available.
  • Turn SKU-level sales, contribution margin, conversion, and advertising data into practical recommendations that improve channel results.
  • Keep Seller Central operations reliable by protecting account health, resolving support escalations, and maintaining marketplace compliance.
  • Improve product listings, detail pages, and promotions to strengthen conversion and support assortment expansion.
  • Partner with commercial and operations leads on inventory availability and forecasting inputs, while those teams retain ownership of overall inventory projections.
  • Give leadership clear, actionable reporting on performance, profitability, risks, and priorities, including recommendations related to marketplace trends, policy changes, and key Amazon events.
  • Help interview, onboard, and lead the Amazon Operations Administrator and PPC Specialist when hiring moves forward, establishing clear responsibilities and performance expectations.

Requirements

Must-Have:

  • Proven end-to-end ownership of an established Amazon channel generating $500K+ in monthly revenue, covering more than advertising alone.
  • Experience working with U.S.-based consumer packaged goods (CPG), direct-to-consumer (DTC), or other consumer product brands.
  • Advanced Amazon Seller Central and Amazon Ads expertise, including PPC strategy, budget management, TACoS/ACoS, account health, and listing optimization.
  • Strong analytical and commercial judgment, including SKU-level contribution margin analysis and an understanding of how advertising, pricing, conversion, and inventory affect profitability.
  • The ability to develop channel strategy and personally execute operational improvements without relying on an immediately available support team.
  • Demonstrated team leadership, with the ability to prioritize initiatives, independently evaluate agency performance, and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Clear written and spoken English, proactive communication, and reliable follow-through on decisions, risks, and commitments.

Nice to Have:

  • 5+ years of Amazon marketplace management experience, including hands-on channel ownership and team leadership.
  • Experience leading an agency-to-in-house transition or building an internal Amazon team.
  • Experience with Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) logistics.
  • Experience using advertising analytics or automation tools to improve decision-making and execution.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, E-commerce, or a related field.
