Airport Ramp Agent - Seasonal - Fulltime

## Join Our Growing Team at Firebag Airport Canadian Base Operators, in partnership with Acden, is expanding the Firebag Airport team and we're looking for committed, collaborative professionals to join us as Ramp Agents. This is a **6-month seasonal term** with the potential to extend, based at the Firebag Airport, located north of Fort Mc. Murray, AB. ### What You'll Do As a Ramp Agent, you'll report directly to the Ramp Agent Team Lead and focus on ground support and ramp airport operations. Your day-to-day duties will include marshalling aircraft in and out of the aerodrome, operating Ground Service Equipment (GSE), performing aircraft de-icing and anti-icing, and handling baggage loading and unloading. You'll also greet and check-in passengers, verify their documents and identification, manage gate operations and flight closure, and organize the safe loading and unloading of passengers to and from buses. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a commitment to teamwork with fellow employees, pilots, flight attendants, and other contractors. You'll also be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean workspace by wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and keeping areas hazard-free. This includes conducting environmental, safety, and quality checks, as well as general housekeeping. You'll need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds and have computer knowledge for passenger check-in and online training. Since the role involves travel, you must be willing and able to travel—flights are provided to the work site from Calgary or Edmonton. ### What We're Looking For - **Education:** Grade 12 or GED equivalent is required. - **Experience:** 1 to 3 years of ramp experience in the aviation industry is required. - **Certifications (assets):** Common Safety Orientation (Energy Safety Canada), Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness, Hydrogen Sulfide Awareness, West. Jet Training, and AVOP are considered assets. - **Skills and Abilities:** Proficiency in established aviation practices, procedures, and techniques; knowledge of applicable local and federal labour codes; strong organization and time management skills; a valid driver's license; and previous experience with aircraft de-icing and ground handling. ### Competencies We Value - Communicates Effectively - Continuous Learning - Teamwork and Collaboration - Values and Respects Others ### Additional Requirements - Must pass **pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screening**. - Must provide an **annual driver's abstract**. - Must pass a **criminal record check**.
