Your Opportunity:

Community Oral Health seeks a caring and dedicated individual who enjoys working with a dynamic team. The Administrative Support II is a front-line representative working with the Calgary and Area oral health team (comprised of dental hygienists, dental assistants and administrative staff), collaboratively and independently to support preventive services outlined in the provincial Oral Health Action Plan (OHAP), which focuses on the most vulnerable in the community. The main role of this position is to provide data entry, clerical and related support for school dental services. Along with this, the Administrative Support II may help with other areas of the program, such as preschool, adults/seniors, and supporting overall team operations. The Administrative Support II supports services for individuals, families and groups in a variety of settings, such as schools, community health clinics, and office settings. With the variety of settings comes a variety of work - some days with quite varied tasks and others with repetitive tasks. Service delivery may require lots of walking, climbing flights of stairs, sitting, standing, and/or bending for long periods of time, awkward and repetitive movements. Service delivery involves transporting supplies and equipment. The Administrative Support II will be required to pack, lift, move and transport supplies and equipment to various work sites, with some equipment being heavy and awkward (e.g. mobile dental delivery units and chairs). Individual must drive and have an operational vehicle available. Driving can involve both urban and rural travel. Compensation for work-related travel will be provided. The position is on a compressed schedule with all hours of work scheduled during the elementary school year. During the school term the position is scheduled approximately three days per week.
