Position Summary
The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant II to support the Dental Oncology program.
Duties
Reporting directly to the Dentists, the Administrative Assistant II will provide essential day-to-day administrative support to ensure the smooth operation.

  • Coordinate administrative operations for clinical, research, or departmental programs.
  • Support payroll submissions, onboarding activities, and personnel documentation.
  • Maintain confidential records, files, and databases.
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and coordinate follow-up actions.
  • Obtain approvals and signatures for organizational documents and processes.
  • Organize events, workshops, and program activities.Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to facilitate day-to-day operations.
  • Provide general administrative support to managers, physicians, and research teams.


Qualifications
  • Completion of a recognized business, office administration diploma program is preferred.
  • Two to three (2–3) years of related administrative or secretarial support experience, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Medical terminology training and/or experience with project and event coordination are considered assets.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database, and other office software.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, time management, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and sound judgment skills.
  • Ability to work independently, learn quickly, and perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion while handling sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislative, UHN, and departmental policies, with a demonstrated commitment to producing high-quality work is an asset.
  • Maintaining satisfactory attendance.
