This diverse team of professionals delivers customized tax strategies within a complex and dynamic regulatory framework. Entrepreneurial to our core, our talented team members transcend obstacles into opportunities and are successfully transforming mid-market business practices.<br><br>When applying, please submit your resume, cover letter, transcript and other applicable forms, as necessary, in 1 document.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Assist in the completion of U.S. and combined U.S.-Canadian individual income tax return preparation for U.S. citizens living in Canada, U.S. residents working in Canada and Canadians working and investing in the U.S.</li><li>Assist in carrying out cross-border income tax and estate planning</li><li>Participate in expatriate policy design and implementation and in expatriate compensation design and implementation</li><li>Evaluate existing business processes and policies and advise on Canadian and U.S. individual income tax policy and tax changes</li><li>Identify issues and errors, investigate discrepancies and discuss with managers or engagement partners to develop resolutions</li><li>Correspond with clients and various government agencies to address client tax compliance issues</li><li>Assist with the preparation of correspondence, technical reports, client summaries and presentations outlining engagement findings, facts and highlights</li><li>Collaborate with client engagement team and build relationships with client contacts</li><li>Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary<br><br></li></ul><strong>Skills And Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major is preferred)</li><li>Completion of, or working towards, prerequisites for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) upon commencement of employment</li><li>Previous tax or accounting related office experience is considered an asset</li><li>Customer service and/or client service experience is considered an asset</li><li>Experience working with accounting and tax software</li><li>Ability to Speak French and English (written and oral)<br><br></li></ul><strong>MyRewards@MNP<br><br></strong>With a focus on high-potential earnings, MNP is proud to offer customized rewards that support our unique culture and a balanced lifestyle to thrive at work and outside of the office.
