Account Manager, Amazon DSP

About the Role

Accrue is looking for a sharp, data-driven, client-obsessed Account Manager, Amazon DSP to join our growing team. In this role, you'll manage and grow Amazon DSP investment for a portfolio of advertiser clients — turning audience data and platform mechanics into measurable revenue outcomes.

This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit behind a dashboard and file reports. We need someone who can get into the weeds of budget pacing, audience strategy, and creative performance one hour, then walk into a client meeting the next and explain exactly why it matters to their bottom line. You'll be hands-on with the platform, fluent in the data, and comfortable pushing back when a client's instinct doesn't match what the numbers say.

About Accrue

Accrue is a fast-growing Amazon advertising agency helping brands win on and off Amazon. Our team manages Sponsored Ads and DSP investment across a wide range of advertiser verticals, combining platform expertise, data analysis, and genuine account partnership to drive growth for our clients. We're in the middle of an exciting shift toward AI-driven optimization — which means we need managers who are as comfortable diagnosing a campaign's mechanics as they are presenting the story behind the numbers.

What You'll Do

Own DSP Account Performance

  • Manage day-to-day strategy, setup, and optimization across a portfolio of Amazon DSP accounts.
  • Run diagnostics on underperforming campaigns and build data-backed reallocation and recovery plans tied to clear ROAS and efficiency targets.
  • Monitor budget pacing across markets and tactics (e.g., OLV, STV, PVA) and proactively flag risks or opportunities before clients have to ask.
Be a Trusted Strategic Partner
  • Act as the client's go-to voice on DSP strategy — translating platform data into a narrative that connects to their business goals.
  • Confidently right-size client expectations and budgets, including deflecting unsupported or off-strategy requests with sound reasoning.
  • Identify whitespace and expansion opportunities within existing accounts (e.g., bringing additional channels or services under Accrue's management).
Build Clear, Compelling Deliverables
  • Produce polished, on-brand reports, QBR decks, and planning documents using Accrue's visual style and template systems.
  • Translate complex performance data into clear recommendations for both marketing and executive stakeholders.
  • Lead or support client-facing meetings, from routine check-ins to quarterly business reviews.
Navigate Escalations with Judgment
  • Handle account issues and client escalations directly, setting honest and realistic expectations grounded in platform and account history.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Sponsored Ads, strategy, and leadership to resolve issues quickly and protect the client relationship.
What You Bring
  • 2–5+ years of experience managing Amazon DSP (or comparable programmatic/ad tech platform) accounts, ideally within an agency environment.
  • Strong analytical skills — comfortable building budget models, pacing analyses, and performance diagnostics in Excel or similar tools.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships independently, including delivering difficult news or resetting expectations.
  • Working knowledge of DSP tactics and formats (OLV, STV, PVA, display) and how they map to funnel strategy.
  • A technically hands-on mindset — genuinely curious about how the platform and its optimization tools work, not just what the reports say.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience building client-ready decks and reports.
  • A commercial instinct: you look for growth opportunities within accounts, not just campaign maintenance.
Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with Sponsored Ads in addition to DSP.
  • Prior agency-side experience managing multi-market (US/Canada) accounts.
